How to set the patient up with the Virtualis VR headset and accessories

By Interacoustics

Transcript

This is how to mount the VR headset on your patient and how to use the accessories for your Virtualis solution.

When your Virtualis solution is set up in a defined area, invite the patient to stand or sit near the computer.

Place the headset on the patient.

Start by fitting the headset to the back of the patient's head, then place the goggles over the patient's eyes, turn the adjustment dial at the back until the headset fits firmly, and comfortably adjust the strap on top to fit and balance the weight of the headset on the patient's head.

Then flip the earphones in place.

The image should be clear in the headset.

If it is not, move the front of the headset up and down until a clear image is found and tighten the headset to maintain the position.

If controllers are needed for the module, turn them on by pressing and holding the lower button until the light turns green.

The controllers are now paired.

Place the controllers in the patient's hands while remembering to secure them with the wrist straps.

The patient should now see both controllers on the screen.

If trackers are needed for the module, turn on the trackers by pressing and holding the middle button until the light turns green.

Your trackers are now paired.

If you intend to use both trackers and controllers, make sure the two dongles are plugged into the USB hub.

Place the tracker on the intended area and secure by pulling on the strap.

The tracker should fit snugly to avoid slippage during the activity.

Continue to place trackers on intended areas needed for the specific module.

If you need the Leap Motion controller for the module, first mount it on the headset, and connect the USB-C cable from the headset into the side of the Leap Motion controller.

Once the Leap Motion controller is connected, the patient can use their hands to complete tasks in the MirrorVR modules.
